Each venue has it's own particular and special quality but all are run and managed by families dedicated to providing exceptional service and facilities. Alpheton Hall Barns

A beautiful venue for both wedding receptions and civil ceremonies just South of Bury St. Edmunds, yet set amidst acres of rolling Suffolk countryside, a 10th Century Hall, Moat, Medieval fish pond and adjoining the Church. This exceptionally well equipped and gorgeous barn can comfortably seat up to 200 guests and still have plenty of space for dancing afterwards.

Anglesey Abbey

Anglesey Abbey’s truly stunning gardens, once developed by Lord Fairhaven with their working watermill, wildlife discovery area and statuary, provide the most amazing backdrop for a quintessentially English wedding celebration. Drinks receptions are held in the Rose Garden or on the Front Lawn, with a choice of either The Redwood Restaurant or The Glade Marquee for dining. The restaurant can seat up to 200 guests and the marquee up to 150.

The Cambridge Union

The Cambridge Union Society has been at the centre of University life in Cambridge for nearly two centuries. With one of the most unique buildings in the city and a wonderfully quiet location, hidden behind the only Norman round church in the country, The Union have what must be one of the most unique and versatile venues in Cambridge.
From their debating chamber, seating 420, to the Fairfax Rhodes room in the library holding 42 for conference or dining, their wide variety of facilities provides opportunities for small meetings, conferences, private events and parties or even weddings.

Childerley, Cambridge

Childerley Hall is a celebrated historic house of Elizabethan origin, and where Charles I was once held under house arrest. Set in magnificent gardens created by the present owner, Chloe Jenkins, it is still a family home surrounded by farmland. Adjacent to the grounds is the splendid Victorian farmstead which boasts one of the finest and longest timber-framed barns in England.

Childerley, with its romantic gardens and its superb facilities, now offer a unique setting for weddings and receptions.

Located just six miles west of Cambridge, the journey begins along the 1.5 mile drive culminating with a breathtaking view of the Hall, the Chapel and the Victorian barns. Ample parking is available, and nearby Cambourne offers excellent hotel accommodation.
The versatility of the venue is exceptional: with clever screening, the Long Barn can accommodate anywhere from 100 to 500 seated for dinner; the Concert Barn can accommodate 600 theatre style; the Chapel can provide an intimate setting for a dinner for 10, to a corporate “away day” venue for 20, to a wedding blessing for 80 (a wedding licence is not permitted in the chapel, but a civil licence is being applied for the Long Barn and possible other locations in 2009); and the Gardens offer a wonderful lawn for receptions and a magical backdrop for photographs. The adjacent farmland lends itself to team building days and Childerley’s farm tours have become much sought after.

Culford Hall, Bury St Edmunds

The historic Hall offers a range of rooms, from stately dining rooms and Victorian libraries to conferences and smaller workshop facilities. The purpose-built Centenary Hall is an auditorium, with stage lighting, seating 500 in theatre mode, and 250 for dining and dancing.

Weddings can take place in Culford Church within the Park, and guests are able to walk across the magnificent South Lawns to the Reception within the Hall itself. Drinks can be served on the terraces overlooking the formal lawns and the gardens provide a magical backdrop for treasured photographs.

Elveden Walled Garden

Elveden Walled Garden offers the perfect grassland venue for your bespoke event. Offering a completely private space, enclosed by Victorian chalk and red brick walls and grand oak gates, the garden is a blank canvas in which to create the event of your dreams. The perfect venue for all sorts of events, from weddings, festivals, corporate parties or team building days, this is a very special location for your event.

The garden extends to just over 2.5 acres, divided into two equal halves by a central wall, with pedestrian and vehicular entrances through to both areas.

This site enables you to build your very own bespoke celebration perfectly and would be an ideal setting for a marquee.

Finborough Hall

Built in the late 18th century, Finborough Hall is one of Suffolk’s most resplendent examples of Georgian architecture, set in 40 acres of private grounds. A rural oasis surrounded by unspoilt countryside, the view is patchwork shades of green as far as the eye can see.

And what better place to embrace the view than The Sky Room, purpose-designed to host private events for those looking for something special – something more than you get from conventional function venues for weddings, parties or corporate events.

Located just outside the picturesque village of Great Finborough, it’s well positioned for easy access from both J49 or J50 of the A14 or from Stowmarket Station, taking little more than 5 minutes drive from each.

The Sky Room can seat up to 160 on round tables or 336 theatre style, providing an incredibly flexible, open and bright space.

Glemham Hall, Woodbridge

Set amidst 300 acres of beautiful Suffolk UK parkland, the Glemham Marquee Wedding Reception Venue, based at Glemham Hall, is the perfect setting for that special event. The marquee is sited in a secluded garden against the backdrop and splendour of Glemham Hall, one of the most spectacular venues in East Anglia. With a 180-seat capacity, the marquee is a modern framed marquee, with a solid wooden floor and comes equipped with both mains electricity and water.

The Guildhall

With the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Bury St. Edmunds Heritage Trust has developed a brand-new visitor attraction and community hub from one of Bury St. Edmund’s oldest buildings, the Guildhall.

The newly renovated Guildhall has a range of rooms, each reflecting a different era and use the building has served over the centuries. Many are available to hire as special venues for weddings, events or parties.

Haughley Park Barn, Stowmarket

The Barn is set in the beautiful grounds of Haughley Park House, easily accessible from the A14 dual carriage way, and has ample parking facilities for a large number of cars. The buildings were restored in 1977, to be used as meeting rooms, and are Grade 2 listed.

The Barn makes an excellent setting for weddings and receptions of between 50 and 130 guests. They provide the space, heat, light and existing equipment and you organise the rest to get the kind of celebration you want.

Lanwades Hall

A beautiful wedding venue in the heart of East Anglia, a country manor house surrounded by acres of wonderful gardens and park land. Here at Lanwades, we understand how precious your wedding day is and our staff will make sure it will be a day to remember forever.

Not only will Lanwades Hall provide you with a superb venue, but as the home of the Animal Health Trust (AHT) you will be doing something great for charity and helping improve the lives of dogs, cats and horses.

Lanwades Hall is a large Tudor-style manor house built in 1907 with the winnings of the 1898 Derby. The Hall is set in the middle of Lanwades Park, 120 acres of mature, private parkland and gardens, located just outside Newmarket. It is a precious gem hidden away in Suffolk’s rich countryside, offering privacy and exclusivity where you can hold your wedding reception, ceremony or your whole day.

We do not offer entire packages as we know every wedding is different and want your day to be as special and unique as possible.

Priory Hall, Hadleigh

This beautiful Tudor Hall is just outside of Hadleigh and offers complete freedom to enjoy the lake, orchards, nott garden and lawns knowing you'll be the only party there. The Tudor Hall is licensed for civil ceremonies; the walled terrace and lawns are perfect for reception drinks and the summer dining area makes full use of the lake view. The Ballroom accommodates up to 120 guests whilst the lakeside marquee can seat up to 150.

The Red Barn at South Runcton, nr. Kings Lynn

A beautifully restored Tythe Barn now offering a wonderful setting for special events throughout the year. The barn can seat approximately 100 guests with a raised area for dancing and also benefits from an adjoining marquee which can either be used for drinks receptions & bar area or increase the dining capacity further. The barn is fully equipped and has plenty of car parking on site.

Smeetham Hall, Sudbury

This beautiful, water-fronted, privately owned 16th century barn, set within a property listed in the Domesday Book, is an ideal venue for civil ceremonies, wedding receptions, parties, dances and corporate events. The 16th Century Barn has been beautifully converted for civil ceremonies; wedding receptions, parties, dances and corporate events .The Barn can comfortably seat 40-150 guests, whilst the Marquee stands within a sheltered courtyard and is perfect for barbeques and hog roasts for the more informal event.

The Suffolk Barn

The Suffolk Barn sits in a unique position on a southern slope within the ancient parkland of Hawstead Place just 2 miles south of Bury St Edmunds. The Barn retains all the original character from its past and is available to use for wedding receptions, parties and all types of business and private events.
If you are looking for a venue which is exclusive and flexible with the utmost privacy the Suffolk Barn has it all.

The Suffolk Barn dates back to 1423 and was constructed in its day as a courtyard in front of one of the county’s grandest houses.

The barn has a huge timber frame and is traditionally clad. It has a unique setting with large threshing doors opening South and East onto historic parkland with stunning views, adjoining the parkland are ancient fishponds, a moat and additional historic features.

The Theatre Royal, Bury St. Edmunds

The beautifully restored Regency Theatre provides a unique setting for weddings. Licensed for marriages and civil partnerships, the stage becomes a dramatic backdrop for ceremonies with the intimate yet grand auditorium, which can seat up to 335 guests. After the vows (and bows), the stage set changes with theatrical flair to accommodate wedding breakfasts for up to 120 guests and evening receptions with dance floor. Alternatively drinks, canapes and receptions can be hosted in the more contemporary setting of the Greene Room bar.
